Tattoo Design Inspiration And Research

A tattoo and the design, in my opinion is an extremely personnel thing, getting marked on the body is not something you should do lightly. I have seen dozens of people go out, get a tattoo on a whim, and live to regret it. In all honesty, most tattooists although most are highly skilled artists lack the passion to come up with something new and exiting for every customer. they fall back to the same set of flash books they have had for years producing the same old tats year in year out. Unless your tattooist is truly in the top ten percent for passion for the art it’s going to be down to you buddy, to find the artwork

Tattoo mistakes people make
Unless you’re a total looser you would never pick a tattoo on a whim from the first place you see. You need to look around.

Getting the perfect tattoos can be a painful process and I am not just talking about being inked. All the searching, the hassle of it all going from one tattoo place to another looking at their flash books and not seeing anything you like. On to the next tattoo parlor and then you have enough of all the crap, getting a tattoo was supposed to be easy. Then you do the UNTHINKABLE you settle for something that’s not quite right but you have that second rate tat anyway.

Your sitting there in the tattoo chair he’s starting up his gun and your looking at the transfer in the mirror and the brains saying ” I’m not sure” but what do you do? you ignore it that inner voice. You numb skull!

If the situation that I’ve just described sounds a little close to home - I am so sorry.
I’m sorry I wasn’t around to point you in the right direction to find the perfect tattoo before you made the big mistake. Oh and I’m sorry you’re a numb skull

Getting a tattoo design that is unique
Well my friend that’s where you have to do some research. If you are truly passionate about having a work of art inked into your skin then you need to find the piece of art that inspires you so you can inspire your tattoo artist to his or hers full greatness.

Funeral Poem: From Earth To Heaven

From the time I was a young boy,

I always liked my dad.

He taught me how to work and play ball.

And with dad coaching the team,

Our championship team beat them all.

When I wasn’t at a baseball game with dad,

We were working together at the job site.

Dad you’re alright!

You not only won my heart,

But you’ve got the respect of my friends too.

And now we’ve got to wait

To get to heaven

To see you

But as for me,

While I’m here on earth,

I am going to keep you within my heart

And from that which you have taught me

I won’t depart.

Your spirit and strength are within me

So I go forth in victory

To be all that you would want me

To grow up and be

To make the world a better place

Until I see your face.

When I get promoted

To be up there with you

We are going to have

A heartfelt embrace.

Until then however

I will walk in the divine grace

By which you ran your earthly race.

My dreams wholeheartedly

I will chase.

The love you so generously gave to me

I will give to others

Beginning with my family, sister and brothers

Just look down from above dad

You will surely see

Everywhere I go

I will bring

Love, life and liberty.

Because in you dad

I have touched and experienced

Love unto eternity.

Magic Levitation - The Ultimate in Magic

There are all kinds of magic tricks these days that are quite
fascinating and amazing. You have your classic everyday card
tricks, you have coin tricks, and magic tricks involving
everyday objects. But there is one magic trick that blows all
other magic tricks away, and that is the capability of being
able to levitate some object into mid air.

Of all the magic tricks that I perform for people, when I can
all of a sudden borrow a dollar bill from them and magically
have it float under my command without any evidence of magnets
or strings, and hand the dollar bill back to them, they are
always blown away in astonishment. Magic levitation defies
gravity and it messes with people’s minds because what they are
seeing is something you would only see on television or in
movies. But there they are, staring at this dollar bill, right
in from of their eyes, magically floating up and down.

The best thing about performing magic levitation is doing it
impromptu. This adds more to the effect as the spectator will
believe more into your magical powers as the questions that they
will have cannot be answered. And this is the beauty of being
able just to walk up to anyone at anytime and levitate
something. They will realize that there was no setup. It just
happened, pure magic.

To top off all of magic levitation is the art of being able to
levitate yourself into the air. This is ladies and gentlemen,
the show stopper. To actually show somebody that you will
levitate off the ground and float is one of the best reactions
you will get from performing magic.

There are various guarded methods today that magicians use to
pull off this effect. Some of them are better than others and
have their advantages over one another also. The most commonly
used levitation effect is the Balducci Levitation. It’s common
because it is easy to perform and does provide a great illusion
of floating. Another levitation effect used and has become
popular is The King Rising. This routine is slightly different
than the Balducci effect and can achieve more height off the
ground in my opinion. But the latest levitation effect that has
come out that really blows all levitations away is the Icarus
Levitation. This levitation is truly mind boggling to see in
person. It really is hands down the most visual levitation to
date. If you really want to make some one faint, this effect
will pretty much do it.

So if you really want to take your magic to another level, and I
mean literally another level, you should invest your time and
practice into magic levitation. In today’s world, it is getting
harder and harder to shock people as people have seen everything
done from watching TV or Movies. Our minds have been programmed
to accept what we see for the most part, but the one thing that
still will turn heads and make people think twice, is being able
to levitate.

Make a Game of Your Guitar Practice and Surprise Yourself

So you want to be improve your guitar playing?

Well, like any thing, guitar skill progress takes time and practice, but many of us have much difficulty practicing regularly because it is so easy to let other things take priority over our guitar lessons.

First, you need to absolutely make up your mind that you want to improve your guitar playing and then make sure that your progress is truly is a priority for you.

Make a list of the most important things that you need to focus on in your life right now and honestly assess where guitar fits into your list.

Ideally, you want to be engaged in a guitar lesson for at least an hour a day in order to make any significant progress.

However, you may have to conclude that at this point you are not going to be able to devote even an hour a week to the task.

If that is the case, try to spend some casual time reading guitar-related publications or listening to your favorite guitarists to nurture your love of the music. When your priorities change and you have more time, you will then at least still have a strong interest in becoming as good a guitarist as you can. Listening to Eric Clapton or other greats will only kindle your interest and may even cause you to reprioritize your guitar lessons.

Once you see where your guitar practice fits in with the rest of your life, make a true appointment with yourself. Put your practice into your schedule. Get it in your planner or it won’t get done!

Okay, now that you are regularly spending time with your beloved guitar, what should you do?

First, make sure it is quality time. Don’t have the television on or be hanging out with friends. Then, make sure you are working on skills that you need to sharpen.

If you spend time strumming popular solos and cranking up your amplifier, you may have some fun, but you will not improve your skills.

Think about the chords and scales that you struggle with. Grade yourself on them on a scale (no pun intended) of 1 to 10 and then re-evaluate every week or so. Re-grading every practice or guitar lesson is not appropriate because it is unfair to measure progress that frequently.

No one improves in a straight line. You may hit a certain chord great one day and then have two of the strings sound very unclear the next day. However, if you work diligently you will make progress when measured every couple weeks or so.

Do the same thing with scales and even notes depending on your current skill level.

Once you have a way of measuring your progress, you will be inspired to continue with your regular practice regimen and guitar lessons.

As an advanced step, after you have made progress with a certain group of chords and scales, you should find a song you like that uses many of those elements and work on that as a way of applying your improved ability.

This can be very rewarding.

You may even want to start with the song and work backwards, but make sure that you do spend a great deal of time on the fundamentals before you get serious about the song.

The key to all this is regular consistent work and a measurement of results. Achieve this, and you will enjoy your practice time more and more. Challenge yourself to be at a certain grade by a specific time.

Make a game of your practice efforts and you will surprise yourself!

How To Become A Part-Time Movie Start

Without quitting your 9 to 6 job, I would show you how in only few hours you could be on your way to becoming a part-time movie start.

You think you have the ability to convey emotions in an interesting way and make them believable? Well, acting is a medium that allows you to do just that. You can make a fortune working part time as an actor, and all you need to begin is:

a) The desire to do it.

b) A picture of yourself.

c) An acting resume.

Once you have these three things, is a matter of time before an agent comes ringing to present you with a job offer.

Before I started acting years ago, I thought it was going to take me years to break into the business, let alone to make any money doing it. I was wrong. In a couple of days after I got my PR (picture and resume), I was already on a set shooting a commercial for a bank as the principal actor. Since that day, I have worked in more than 50 productions on lead roles and have enjoyed an experience like no other where the next opportunity could bring a new adventure, knowledge and experience, and lots of money.

Before we begin let me say that the success of an actor doesn’t have anything to do with the financial aspect of the business, even thought that’s a very important factor, the true success of an actor is to be able to act consistently and transmit feeling and emotions to an audience. Once you attain that balance in an effective manner, money will follow.

It is true that living in cities like New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Miami, Buenos Aires, or Madrid could increase your chances of getting jobs (you may have more opportunities and auditions), the strategies bellow will help you get started.
An acting career no matter where you are is a very achievable goal.

So, let’s get right to the point and allow me to present to you a guideline of the steps you need to take to become a part-time movie start by next week.
Keep in mind that to work as an actor it doesn’t matter how you look physically or how old you are. The only thing that matters is your desire to succeed. Read on.

1. Get a picture of yourself. Commonly known as a head shoot, this picture could be in black and white or in color. The ideal picture will be in color and taken by a professional photographer.
Contact a local photographer by looking in the classified section of your home town newspaper. You want a photographer that will take a minimum of two roles of pictures. Between that group of negatives, select the one you like best. With that negative in hand you get the picture printed on a 8 by 10 print with your name on it. This whole process should cost you no more than 400.00 dollars (210.00 for the pictures and 190.00 for 250 color prints with the design of your choice and your artistic name on it.

PS. Pick the picture that represent better the way you actually look. Choose one where you look comfortable and relax. Do not use too much makeup or flashy clothing.

2. Print yourself an acting resume. I know what you’re thinking. You don’t have any credits to show in a resume. Well, neither did I. Start by writing your measurements and specifications. Put your name in the top of a page (use Microsoft Word) and centered. Right under the name write the following replacing it with your own numbers:

Height: 6’ – Weight: 175 lbs – Hair: Light Brown – Eyes: Light Brown - Suit: 40R – Waist: 32-33 – Shirt: 15 ½ 33-34 sleeves – Inseam: 32 – Hat: Large – Shoes: 11 ½.

If you took some drama classes in school, write it down. At the bottom of the resume write your special skills (swimming, dancing, any sports you play, language you speak, nationality, if you can speak with accents, etc.) Do not lie on your resume.

3. Find an agent. Look in the yellow pages, business directories, newspaper, and library. Call them up, follow up on the calls.
Explain to them that you are a beginner actor looking for representation. Say that you are interested in working in commercials and that you are serious about it. Tell the agents that you are always available for auditioning, and that you are very reliable.

Follow up, follow up, follow up, and never give up. You will get an agent to represent you in a matter of days. It is a good idea to get yourself familiar with the rules of your particular state. In some cities you can only be represented by one agent while in others you can have several agents. Never jump into a exclusivity contract unless you are very sure of what you are doing. Remember you are hiring the agent and no the other way around.

That’s it. When you have a full time job, sometimes it is difficult to find time to audition for parts, but there is always a chance to schedule an audition during your lunch hour or after work. Many of the projects I work on are shot during weekends. Pick and choose your opportunities by asking your agent ahead of time when the shoot is going to be.

As a final note, working as an actor is not an easy task. Competition in the business could be very tough. If you are really serious about making it as an actor I would recommend that you begin by taking classes as soon as possible. Classes are usually a lot of fun and not that expensive. Acting is like going to the gym, if you stop going, even for a little while, your muscles will become stiff. Classes will keep you busy and will help you gain the confidence you need to become a movie star of your own.

Texas Hold’em Poker Tournament Strategy - Sending Your Opponent On Tilt

Putting an opponent on tilt may be one of most effective strategies to win chips. When an opponent is on tilt, he will play below his actual skill level. A tilted opponent will often make marginal calls, hopeless bluffs, and terrible reads. A tilted opponent is the best type of opponent to play against. I have had many winning sessions simply by putting my opponent on tilt and watching him self-destruct. Using aggression against your opponent is the best way to send most of your opponents on tilt. When players are not used to being raised a lot, they get very emotional. Players get really angry when someone is not playing the “normal” way. I know poker is just a game, but there is a lot of emotion when money is involved.

Another way to send your opponent on tilt doesn’t even involve playing cards. I am not a strong fan of verbally sending an opponent on tilt, but it definitely works. Many times you will encounter an opponent who tries to get under your skin by criticizing your poker playing abilities. It is your job to control your emotions when an opponent makes a verbal attack. He is trying to get under your skin in an attempt to send you on tilt. Remember that you can also through verbal insults at your opponent to make him mad. If he lets himself get angry, he will definitely go on tilt. Poker is a game that requires you to control your emotions. Similar to the last seconds of a basketball game, every decision requires you to focus on playing the game. Send your opponent on tilt and your poker profits will skyrocket.

Fielding’s Education of Readers in “Tom Jones,” Part Two

Claiming Narrative Authority

The historian (to use Fielding’s terminology) immediately begins his quest to build mutuality between the reader and himself in the first introductory chapter to Book I. He asserts that an author should consider himself as “one who keeps a public ordinary” (Fielding 29). He extends this metaphor by claiming he will borrow from the public ordinary his habit of posting a ‘bill of fare’ in order to prevent “giving offense to their customers” (Fielding 30). The narrator will provide the reader not only with a “general bill of fare to [his] whole entertainment” but will also provide “particular bills to every course which is to be served up” in the narrative.

The narrative style being described here is one in which the historian is servile to the reader. While this induces one to look benevolently on the historian, the feeling does not last for long. Maurice Johnson states:

Although the preface to a novel may itself be feigning, it is usually intended to let the author speak for himself, preparatory to his conducting his reader out of the ‘real’ world into the feigned world of his fiction. (Johnson 83)

One must conclude that the historian is ‘feigning’ in his characterization of himself as a keeper of a public ordinary, after being confronted with the introduction to Book II. Now the previous social scale is reversed: the historian is “the founder of a new province of writing” in which he can “make what laws [he] please[s] therein” (Fielding 68). We, the former patrons of the public ordinary, are now his “subjects” and are “bound to believe in [his laws] and to obey” (Fielding 68). But if we “readily and cheerfully comply,” the historian assures us he will have only our best interests at heart (Fielding 69).

John Richetti claims that this narrative authority “is supported, like the Hanoverian monarchy, by the narrative equivalent of the distribution of favours or patronage in return for the recognition of a sovereignty” (Richetti 189). If we acknowledge the complete authority of the historian, we will be rewarded with what means the historian can give us: Words. He will use his skill to surprise and delight us, perhaps shock and trick us. He will sprinkle his narrative with “sundry similes, descriptions, and other kind of poetical embellishments” (Fielding 131). He will:

draw upon an associated theory of ‘genres’ for established tones appropriate to various moods and modes: poetic elevation (pastoral and epic), moral elevation (sermon and essay), the ironic and satiric (various forms of satire)…he [will] parody or burlesque regnant genres or the styles of earlier literary works. (Miller 268)

These ‘rewards’ are exhibited in the sublime description of Sophia, the “domestic government” which is ran “contrary to the rules of Aristotle” (Fielding 71), the anecdote of King Pyrrhus (Fielding 132), the invocations to the historian’s muse Mnesis, the “whimsical adventure” of Squire Western (Fielding 734), Molly’s epic battle in the graveyard, the historian’s ’slightly altered’ quotations, all the twists and turns of the plot, the mistaken identities, and extraordinary coincidences, just to name a few. While Fielding refers to these “embellishments” as being mere “ornamental parts of [his] work,” he includes them to “refresh the mind” whenever boredom and/or sleep may overtake the reader (Fielding 131).

Eric Rothstein describes Fielding (the narrator) as “a man always in control, bound only by voluntary constraints, needing the approval of no one” (Rothstein 100). I agree that the narrator is completely in control of his narrative, and that he is not bound by any constraints than those he puts on himself, but I cannot see how Rothstein can assert that Fielding needs the approval of no one. If this were true, why would he carry on so many conversations with his readers? Fielding is, of course, very skillfully using his rhetoric to manipulate his readers, but he is attempting to persuade us to agree with him, not dictating to us what we must think and believe. In that sense, he does need to gain the approval of his readers.

After claiming his authority as a historian, the narrator expands on his style of writing by illustrating the reasons for his prefatory chapters. Asserting that these essays are “essentially necessary to [his] kind of writing” (Fielding 181), the narrator cites “contrast, which runs through all the works of the creation” as being the principal function of his prefatory chapters (Fielding 183). Fielding uses the terms the ’serious and the comic’ to show the difference between his prefaces and the narrative proper (Fielding 183). But as his prefaces are not always serious, a different terminology would be more applicable.

Thomas Lockwood applies the terms, ‘matter and reflection’ to the prefaces and narrative. He distinguishes the matter of a chapter as having “a definite psychological value” (Lockwood 227). The reflection is, of course, the narrator’s comments on the matter. So matter and reflection work together to point us in the direction the narrator wants us to take. Another set of terms that has been discoursed over is ‘position and perspective’.

In his article, James Vopat asserts that the “function of art is to define position and perspective, to provide the means of limiting nature so that it is meaningful” (Vopat 146). As a result, life “becomes more meaningful because it is manageable” (Vopat 146). This quality of “limiting nature” so as to make life more “manageable” can be discerned in the character of Tom Jones. Throughout the majority of the novel, Tom conducts himself through natural instinct. He is possessed of “wantonness,” “wildness,” and “want of caution” (Fielding 122). Tom’s wildness is contrasted by Sophia, who is “perfectly well-bred” (Fielding 136). Taking Sophia as a model, Tom learns to ‘limit’ his animal spirits, and so attains control over his life. Sophia and Tom illustrate Fielding’s “belief in the existence of Order in the great frame of the universe, and in the necessity for Order in the private soul” (Battestin 290). In like manner, Fielding presents us with many other contrasts to subtly manipulate us into embracing his view of proper conduct.

Casinos Italiani

When most people think of Italy, they think of the food, the art museums, or the ancient Roman culture. What most people don’t know about Italy is that it can be a great destination for people who want to include some gambling on their vacation. Although Italy doesn’t have many casinos, the places they do have are well worth the visit for tourists who want to experience something a little different than what they expected on a trip to Italy.

While there are only a handful of casinos in Italy, visiting one of them is well worth the trip. There are two distinctive sides to gambling in Italy. One is very much like the American version, casual clothes and lots of slot machines. On the other hand, many Italian casinos have what is called the “French Games” section. Even in the more casual Italian casino, the Casino Municipale di Campione d’ Italia in Campione d’ Italia, part of the casino has a dress code as well as an entrance fee (about $12.50 US). The other Italian casinos, including Casino De La Vallee in Saint Vincent (near Turin), Casino Municipale di Sanremo in San Remo (near Nice, France), and the Casino Municipale di Venezia in Venice, don’t allow people in street or casual clothing and all charge some type of entrance fee. Indeed, Italian casinos epitomize the glamorous image of European gambling made famous in James Bond movies.

All of the cities mentioned only have one casino except for Venice. The Venice casino is interesting because it is really one casino split in two, one which is open in the summer and the other that is open in the winter months. Also a little bit different is that the Casino Municipale di Venezia also offers gin rummy tournaments in addition to the gambling.

Besides the dress codes and the entrance fees, there are other things to be aware of before you plan a trip to an Italian casino. The first thing is that in all of Italy’s casinos, the language spoken is Italian. If you are planning on spending any time in casinos, you should, at the very least, learn some Italian phrases and other gambling vocabulary. Also, the gambling age in Italy is 18 so students and younger people who may not be allowed to gamble in the USA, where the legal age is 21, are permitted to do so in Italy. In addition to gambling, Italian casinos feature live music and entertainment as well as restaurants and nightclubs. One thing Italian casinos do not have, however, are hotel rooms, so lodging arrangements need to be made separately.

Modern Music of Youth

Before the Beatles there was no music addressed directly to young people. Radio broadcasted mawkish, sentimental songs which were lacking in naturalness, sincerity and vigour. The Beatles offered the 60s young generation something new, fresh, spontaneous and completely different from anything else in form and delivery. That was a real turning point in the history of British music.

At the same time the Beatles caused a revolution in youth culture. Their innovative music symbolized the rejection of the ideas and morality of the older generation. Young people immediately began to treat it as their own music which expressed their experiences, joys and sorrows. They suddenly realized that they did not want to be lectured any more; they wanted to be the power, the energy and the generation which had something important to say.

Although many people feel that no group since the Beatles has achieved the same excellence, some groups stood out in the 1960s. One of them was the Rolling Stones. The Rolling Stones were deliberately provocative and anti-establishment. Their public behavior was rude and shocking. Their uninhibited music contributed to the development of Britain’s alternative society.

Another artist considered as the most original British musician after the Beatles and Rolling Stones in the late 1960s was David Bowie. His early songs reflected the feelings of frustration and loneliness experienced by many young people at that time. There is no denying that Bowie with his many surrealistic costumes and ‘images’ exerted a strong influence on the entire generation of rock’n’roll stars.

In the 1970s rock seemed to lose its almost revolutionary power. Still many groups and artists became very popular, among others Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, genesis, Queen, Yes or Electric Light Orchestra.
